It sucks but this company may be the perfect bridge to the regionals, for the guy who doesn't want to flight instruct his way to 1,500 hrs.

Expect to see some Piaggio's in the grass at a Florida airport near you!

Low time guys flying a piaggio will have a greater chance of mowing lawns on the side of the runway. By far one of the hardest planes to handle on the ground in my opinion. Good luck skylimo.

I almost feel sorry for these CA's who get to "instruct" these new FO's in this a/c. But you know, it's just a turbo prop-

If they would start FO's out at $25,000 (still low) and do a 7/7 or 8/6 sched, the could actually recruit semi-qualified FO's. The pax have no idea

Not sure if you got the memo? The fraud is over, and the owners now know!

What's difficult about the airplane to handle?

It steers the same as a Twin or Turbo Commander, and handles the same as a Lear for taxi. It's a very simple airplane.

Not sure if you have flown it, but in my time flying the piaggio it has really helped the rudder skills. A narrow wheel base, an aft CG and a super sensitive electro hydraulic steering. All combines to make it a bit more hard to handle than the average.
