Default NJ call for interview...

For those of you that have recently applied and received the e-mail saying that you are in the pool, how long did it take for you to hear of an interview date? How far off was the interview? I have CMH listed as my primary domicile.

Thanks

Hi,

My app was accepted Nov 7 and invited to interview Nov 14. Choices for the interview were Dec 5/6, 6/7, 12/13 and a choice in January if I remember correctly. I chose the earliest possible date. LAX was my only choice in domiciles. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

My app was accepted in October and I haven't gotten an email for an interview yet...just wondering why. If you don't mind me asking, what is your experience level and did you have any insider recommendations? I only know one NJ pilot and I have about 2800TT with 1200 turbine PIC (part 121). Thanks!

Kevin,

I sent my resume to a captain there who forwarded it to recruitment with a letter of rec. I have heard that they are finding it difficult getting pilots who want to be based in L.A. That was my only choice on the domicile selection sheet and may be a reason why I interviewed when I did. As far as experience goes: 4500TT, 3800 turbine with about 1800 PIC turbine, regional airline flying and charter flying. Hope you hear from them soon.

They waited so long to call back I moved out of LA! LAX was #2 choice (desire was to try to get back east), 3300TT all turbine, 1000 turbine FW PIC, all military.....

Waiting since October, updated two weeks ago. Oh well.

I got the e-mail yesterday!!! Interview date is Feb 27-28 for "March and April" classes. My first choice is CMH. They sent the e-mail telling me I was accepted into "the pool" for interviews on Nov 7, and my app was submitted approxmatly 2-3 weeks prior.

Nov app and Mar/Apr classes, huh?... Well congrats to you, Mosy. I hope they start to pick it up. I sent mine in Dec and got the acceptance email Jan 9. What a dream come true this would be for me.

Does anyone know about the dom preference sheet? You had to rank order them, but I now wish I had put a not that said I would take anyof the doms. Can I still do that, and what would be the best way?

Thanks Pilot 135. I'm sure an e-mail to [email protected] might lead to some assistance with trying to get a new preference on domiciles.

You did it just like I did. I says to put your 1st-5th choice in order. If you didn't you would not be following directions. On the front page of the app it had a place to put your base choice. I put DAL and still put the 1st-5th choice in order on that 1 page. Sent app in 10/31, got the email saying we will contact you for a interview in the near future on 11/27. Still waiting. When I interview, hopefully soon, I will only take DAL as my base ( I already live there.)
