I hear a side letter concerning 117 is about to get signed, anyone wanna explain that? Tell me it ain't so...:confused: better yet, contact your rep and let them know how you feel..

Not being a jerk, but are you a F9 pilot? We don't call them side letters. Also I don't understand why the angst against a part 117 LOA. Enlighten us.

If we are sitting there negioting pay rates that our "peers" have and won't agree to use FAR 117 for our rest rules, we'd look horrible in front of the NMB. Every other airline uses FAR 117 for their rest rules. If we weren't showing any good faith on our end, it wouldn't look good. Plus, we didn't have any rules much more relaxed than FAR 117.

You don't agree to it unless it's part of a fully ratified CBA. If you signed an loa today giving them more ease to schedule you without the rest of the contract in hand you gave away leverage.
