Default Newhire Reserve Duration

Hey guys, considering a move to Frontier. How long could a newhire expect to sit reserve? Also, would this time be about the same at each base? And lastly, which junior base would be most commutable from IAH? Thanks for your insight.

Dude, I’m a few whiskies in, so forgive me being candid...if you want the job don’t be lazy and do a little research. You don’t have to go very far back in the “Frontier Hiring” thread to find answers to the questions you ask. Rather than start a new thread go back and read the threads that exist on hiring, negotiations, etc and become informed.

Since I’m a nice guy, I’ll give you some answers but they are only valid today and may not be true tomorrow...

1) A year (+/-)
2) Maybe a little less in LAS
3) I don’t know, man...google “IAH departures” and figure it out. They’re all junior bases at this point. You can’t expect an internet forum to decide your best commute. But I’m guessing commuting between two UA hubs would be a female dog.

My glass is empty.

But do you still show up for ground school during a strike? This is important stuff!

Getting close to two years to hold an actual line in all bases besides Vegas because they were growing Vegas at the expense of every other base. Once Vegas is where they want it who knows. We don’t really have much growth until the end of the year but airbus deliveries are delayed because of engines so that can always extend reserve times.

I think, and I could be wrong, but aren't we also locked out? I know it's not company property but I would assume you don't show for ground school. I could be way off base....
