Default 5 Pin XLR Plug Hot? or not...

Does anyone happen to know if the 5 Pin XLR plugs in our aircraft are powered or not? If it's an "option" to wire them hot then I can probably answer my own question...

I have a telex 850 and it does provide ANR in our planes... so I think they are hot.

My 5 pin worked out of the package. I'm just too lazy now to swap out headsets, so I gave mine away.

Not necessarily, telex 850 is powered through the microphone, not a separate power wire.
