I thought we were getting 8 planes before year end.
But realistically, considering how much the Denver five or six help out, they really don't need to upgrade so many people. Those guys make sure everything gets covered. |

I think all the hype from the company about growth is smoke and mirrors just as much as the next guy, but is this a case of, if they cant hire, they cant upgrade? Honest question, I dont regularly run numbers on this kinda stuff.

Maybe. We will know in 2 weeks when the Union reports to us on the Company’s appetite for bargaining.
QRH’s keep showing up in Comply so I think they are being delivered. But park a spare in each of 5 bases, increase the line average to the contractually permitted 85 hours, and cancel vacations and you’ve significantly decreased the required pilot-to-plane ratio. It has worked for a while but they’re running out of options. Settle a contract to make hiring easier or sell aircraft delivery positions. |
Then they get no deal. Simple as that.

Don’t hold your breath on negotiations. If the company wanted a deal they could just as easily meet outside of mediation. They could even email proposals over to the NC. They don’t want a deal that doesn’t cement us at the bottom of the industry.
