Uniforms

I hear we’re getting Southwest style jackets and new ties if we want to purchase them ourselves. Anyone hear about a timeframe on this?

I'm hearing they'll be available in time for next winter.

Yeah I’ve heard this too. A United style striped tie (with green and silver), metal wings on the shirt, and changing your choice of outerwear to the current blazer or a SWA style jacket with epaulets and a name badge; so the flasher trench coat and London Fog jacket will be nixed. Modest changes to standardize the look of the pilot group, nothing wrong with that. Now that the orange lanyards are fading out it’s hard to pick us out from the crowd.

It was supposed to be announce two weeks ago in comply with all of the details. I wonder what happened. I for one would not mind seeing a little uniformity here. Everyone thinks they can just wear what they want just because.

Wings on the shirt... Yuck!

Agreed we are absolutely the most unprofessional looking bunch.
I don’t usually agree with the company but in this case I do.
The CPO will make it known. negotiations are over they will issue out new ties, and they will be actively enforcing uniform policy.

Scary stuff!

“Actively enforcing”......it’ll be like JP never left! Let the disciplinary hearings flow!

That’ll teach the Riddle Rats where not to work!

Why is actually having a real uniform policy and following it such a bad thing? I feel like I am missing some “F the man” mentality here.....

That doesn't really work. If you choose the blazer, you still need an overcoat for when it's 5 degrees outside.
