New Routes

Looks like we are adding new destinations from LAS and MIA. I heard Guatemala City is lovely this time of year :)

I just copied and pasted instead of putting links to articles.

Frontier Airlines adds six new Las Vegas routes

The six new routes Frontier Airlines announced out of Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport (LAS) are:
  • El Paso International Airport (ELP): twice-weekly from March 11th
  • Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock (LIT): twice-weekly from March 11th
  • Los Cabos International Airport in Mexico (SJD): twice-weekly from March 26th
  • Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City (OKC): twice-weekly from March 12th
  • Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR): twice-weekly from March 25th
  • Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT): twice-weekly from March 12th
MIAMI : Low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines will soon be offering six new routes from Miami International Airport, including to four international destinations and two domestic cities, the airline announced Tuesday.

The new routes include: Cancun, Mexico; Guatemala City, Guatemala; San Salvador, El Salvador; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Ontario, California; and Orlando, Florida.

You post it. I’m not looking it up. While your at it review thier res rules because you don’t seem to know those. Then please explain what happens after 2 years on our Ltd. oh and compare vac and retro. We could do this all day.

Your right we could do this all day.

Spirits LTD is own occupation to 65. Plus the company pays their portion of the premium until 65.
Ours isn’t even close.
What happens after 2 years? You get extended to 5 if you decided to pay for the 5yr extension of own occupation. Plus you get to pay the companies share of your premium.

That’s incorrect after 2 years but I will agree that nk is slightly better. Nk starts at 5k. Ours 8k. You can never get above 135k annually no matter what you do with our current agreement. Same for nk. Nobody has over 60% pay replacement. That’s guarantee times pay rate. Akaska actually has the best deal imo, however their self insured.12 month w2 look back but still can’t top 60%. It’s the best deal if your 12 month look back is high.

"It went up to 5%”

I have seen this posted a couple times now and it has been a while since I have chimed in.
The 5% DOT for post PBS awards that everyone mentions is ; The Max open duty time that will be left after bid awards. It has nothing to do with a minimum amount available after bids.
I will also mention that when DOT opened for Jan in MCO, I tried to swap out the 1 worst trip I ended up with on the final award. It was like a feeding frenzy with every request I put in for ( 6 requests right at 0900). All were picked up by reserve pilots adding to their schedules on reserve days off. This even included a few available trips on Jan 1st
Just an observation per the discussion...

That is frustrating. I think we can all agree res pickup was a gain for res a gain for the company and a lose for line holders. Works well on fdo lines though. I’ve seen 200 plus credit.

I haven't seen anyone claim that it's a minimum. It benefits the pilot group for the pot to be as high as possible for the reasons mentioned in this thread. So long as the ALV can be met with the pot at or close to 5%, then that's what the PBS guys will shoot for.

  1. The Association will be responsible for creating a “Successful Bid Run” for each Position utilizing the PBS line solver software in accordance with Section 25.B.2.a. including, but not limited to: Maximum Iterations, Maximum Reserves, Maximum Swap Depth, and Maximum Passes. A Successful Bid Run means that all of the following requirements have been met:
    1. Open Time does not exceed five percent (5%) of the total Sequence Pay Credit by Position, unless modified with the unanimous consent of the JPWG;

Directly from the PBS LOA. Many guys think that the 5% or the 4% mentioned from a few posts back is a percentage that should be available after the awards. Jan, MCO CA had 1.6% at the open of DOT on the 13th at 0900.

Correct observation. The marvelous scheduling flexibility that once existed has set sail.

Spirit doesn’t have to stay above 70 or 60.
At least they can just drop a trip if they have an important family event etc..to attend without concern of disciplinary action.
Same deal we should have bargained for.
