Opportunity knocks at EWR
FAA Loses Court Case Against Spirit Airlines Over Newark Flights
Who wants to bet that F9 is amongst the “other airlines” besides Spirit that were trying to get Southwest’s slots at EWR a couple years back?
I see a new base coming… yuck.

COVID really mucked things up. My niece was hoping to stop commuting and move back home. Hopefully, she'll have the opportunity soon.

I’ve heard this nonsense spouted before...it’s always “I heard” or “I think” but nowhere I. The contract have I been able to find where dual bases aren’t allowed. If AA can base pilots at 3 bases in SoCal I guarantee F9 can as well.

The contractual problem for the company with a dual ttn/ewr base for pilots would be commuter clause for the trips originating in ttn. I believe Ual has a dual ewr/lga as well but both airports are not a commuter issue.

You are correct. There is no requirement for other airlines to serve a city that is an F9 pilot domicile and co-domiciles are absolutely allowed. ORD and MDW are currently co-domiciles.

with zero trips originating or terminating in mdw correct? I can’t see them getting that going again without some sort of Loa.

MDW is not currently a base, nor do we operate flights out of there. But again the the LOA fallacy...whatever helps you sleep at night. The fact is the company doesn’t need the union’s permission to open a base.
