Outmatch Assessment

Just received an email to take the Outmatch assessment. Any idea what it entails?

BiffleBalls 07-22-2021 12:02 PM

Questions like:

How many hamsters did you strangle last year?

A) 1
B) 2
C) 5
D) "Three sir!"

OperatorError 07-22-2021 12:48 PM

I received one as well. I assume it's similar to the Hogan test, but I'm not sure.

weflyurelax 07-22-2021 01:14 PM

Personality assessment with some cognitive questions. The email sums it up perfectly, no surprises, really. Good luck!

Thank you. I figured that’s what it was.

mrwizard0 07-23-2021 10:22 AM

I just took mine and the longer portion was like the hogan. The cog part was tough. There were like 12 or 15 questions and I had trouble with like 3-4. The first bunch were super easy though

Punkah Louvre 07-23-2021 12:57 PM

They said no math..

Hell; I still reach for a calculator to convert fuel loads from gallons to pounds. In Mexico the gas comes in Liters .That throws me completely. I wouldn’t sweat the arithmetic..
best of luck.

mrwizard0 07-23-2021 01:25 PM

math would’ve been easier, these were trying to find patterns in shapes. They will haunt my nightmares 😂

OperatorError 07-25-2021 10:16 AM

The shape patters were not fun, I concur

HwkrPlt 07-25-2021 10:41 AM

Do you get a pass/fail immediately, or just a thanks for playing message?

Just a thanks for completing, we will be in touch.
I assume they analyze the results before deciding on you either way.

mrwizard0 07-25-2021 11:43 AM

I assumed it would be a few days turn around from test to hearing anything. Or maybe that’s me just trying to tell myself to be patient

Gotcha. I took the Virgin America assessment back when they were still around, and got an immediate failure notice. That was fun.

OperatorError 07-25-2021 11:54 AM

It wasn’t timed but I have to assume they take that into account as well.

I thought there was a statement that it wasn’t timed and it doesn’t matter how long you take. But I could have misread it

Happy Hooligan 07-25-2021 07:02 PM

After the assessment, I mentioned that to my wife that I might have failed an Alzheimer's test:)
About 3/4 of the way through the shapes, I couldn't see the patterns.....so I limited my time and did the best guess.
Apparently, It was good enough to move on in the process

Great news! Congrats! I'm still waiting to hear. Took mine yesterday morning.

avident22 07-27-2021 10:19 AM

How long has it taken from assessment to invite? Thank you all

mrwizard0 07-29-2021 09:53 AM

Has anyone that just got the assessment last week heard anything yet? I was starting to wonder if they wait for the complete by date before they even compile the results.

here’s hoping no news is still good news 😉

Got my invite last week, took the assessment on Sunday, no word yet. I did hear that it could be potentially 5-10 days before hearing anything. Hope to hear some good luck for all of us soon.

avident22 07-29-2021 10:55 AM

I did it last Friday… nothing so far

Brohland1 07-29-2021 02:18 PM

Perhaps they are waiting for after the deadline of the 30th to start sending invites. Fingers crossed for everyone. Good luck!

weflyurelax 07-29-2021 05:59 PM

From completing outmatch to receiving invite to interview was 8 days. Good luck to all!

Happy Hooligan 07-29-2021 06:09 PM

It was 8 days for me

ps105 07-30-2021 02:07 PM

29 days for me.

avident22 08-03-2021 09:27 AM

Anything guys? I haven’t received anything

HR has been super busy reworking the interview schedule and moving back to virtual interviews, so I would anticipate a delay.

mrwizard0 08-04-2021 08:15 AM

I just got another email to take the outmatch assessment! I hope that doesn’t mean I failed it last week 😳

avident22 08-04-2021 08:23 AM

Oh boy, keep us posted. Maybe it was meant to be an interview invite!

Don’t be too concerned. A week after I got a CJO I received a “Thanks but no thanks” e-mail, followed by an “Oops! Sorry! Ignore the TBNT. It was sent in error” email a few hours later. Same story for everyone that received a CJO in my interview group.

Welcome to the Frontier way! :-)

OperatorError 08-04-2021 08:49 AM

I just received another invite to the assessments as well. Figured I'd send an email to them and make sure I shouldn't take it again.

I applied for an internal position and got the same outmatch email agin too. Sounds like it’s a system thing.

OperatorError 08-04-2021 09:14 AM

I heard back almost immediately. Alan said disregard the 2nd assessment invite. He said it's because I'm a "golden eagle" candidate and because my name came up in general airline apps search as well.
I even clicked on the assessment invite and it told me nothing is needed because I had previously completed the assessment.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is a “golden eagle” ? Thanks!

Current Frontier pilots are allowed to refer someone once per year (I think). It kind of gets your resume a guaranteed look.

MacrossJet 08-04-2021 01:16 PM

Can you study for the Outmatch assessment?

You may want to call one of the interview prep companies. I know some have prep for the Hogan .
