I really appreciate the insight. Thank you for being honest.

Are these schedules the norm? Or is just more since covid and the recovery?

I was wondering the same thing...

I'm well above the flight time minimums, with one internal recommendation (not golden eagle). Any other biggies I should work on to get a call?
Perhaps I need to be more patient? I put my app in at the beginning of July.
Does anyone know the general wait time from submitting the application on AirlineApps, to getting a response (if you get a response - not wanting to presume...).

Thanks for any insight for those waiting to get a call.

Do you update your times regularly?

Have you signed up for any hiring events (in person or virtual)?

seems like before u know what, key/trigger for 5 guys I helped in hiring process was live events, which they aren’t really doing now. That’s what got me interview in 2015, as I didn’t know anyone here. Seems like even more than before, internal recs might be more heavily weighted. YMMV

Unfortunately we’ve moved to the “secret sauce” algorithm method the legacies use on airlineapps and the parameters are not shared outside of a very small group. I do know that the majority of candidates interviewing over the last few months have been to a job fair / virtual event of some kind or have golden eagles.

That's what I thought as well. One of our guys gives a detailed in depth response, and all this guy cares about is upgrades and only working mornings.

Bring those questions up in an interview, see how palatable it is to the guys on the other side of the table.

It seems the forums have a pattern of making matters very
personal. I asked some additional questions with every intention of a "thank you."

Thank you for taking the time to reveal a lot of helpful information.

Follow and like Frontier airlines pilot recruitment page on FB, there you will find any info and events to attend (mostly virtual). Read the info and feel free to comment. Look up Frontier first Officer virtual event on YouTube, it’s the only one they recorded from February or March. Could help, maybe not, but it’s a way to show them you’re interested and invested

Does Frontier use PBS? What’s Flica?

Yes we use Navblue PBS. Flica is a Sabre product several airlines use. It’s a web based product that we use mainly for viewing and adjusting schedules, system bids (domicile and seat position) and vacation bidding.
