Default 2 leg commute?

Hello all,

Located in Texas, which base would you guys recommend I should bid for?
If absolutely needed, would a two-leg commute make any sense here, if so, which base would be best to commute to? Say from home to DFW or IAH and then to base.
Thanks all, just trying to figure out if something like this would be feasible.

Where in Texas would help. There’s some places where a 2 leg is necessary to avoid a 2 hr or more drive. Even some smaller airports may have direct fight to DEN, LAS, MCO, ATL.

I’d say DEN. With this CPO, tough commuting will net you some no shows pretty quick, so just combine your commute with hearings.
seriously, so yourself and your family a favor and swap the commute for living in a base.

this. Right now you’ll get more sympathy from a hungover executioner. Hopefully they’ll see this as a chance to reset the CPO and work with us. More honey. Less stick…

Thanks for your responses.

So how long would it take for a new hire to get LAS?

Estimated reserve times?

Move to base thats a good idea just ask a f9 ord pilot. You should apply to a legacy or even a Kallita or atlas (they give you a ticket).

with PHX opening in the fall we should see substantial movement everywhere. I’d hazard a guess you could hold it by the fall…

NK is giving it to people in training right now so no later than the SLI I’d guess.

You know that’s probably 18 months to 2 years away right? Hopefully they’ll get LAS before that…
