Im guessing you’d get an ACARs once in a while because of this.

That’s why we don’t carry UMs anymore. But the kid should have some of the blame. Prolly had EarPods in and when the FAs announced San Juan 20 times he didn’t hear it.

But when the gate scans the boarding pass doesn’t it give out an alert if wrong flight?

Oh well - he got some extra frontier miles in his account !
