If he's RAH he's probably already telling people he's an Airbus 318/19 FO. What a tool!

I can't take responsibility ... my step-sister and mom told me about this. They thought he was a Delta guy and asked if I knew him.

But if he is a RAH guy, I think we just found the new poster boy.

That's disgusting. What an idiot. If anybody knows him, please be sure to send the link to his CP. We don't need people like this in professional aviation.

Here's what I sent the guy:

"Hi. I'm going to guess that you're not really a pilot and you found the uniform at the thrift store and thought it was cool. But, if I'm wrong, and you really ARE a pilot, and you're stupid enough to post such a thing at Craigslist, I'd be happy to make it my goal in life to see you lose your job. We don't need people like you in the biz. I found this link at one of the more popular airline pilot forums. Your pic is making the rounds. If anyone knows you, you are so ...... .

KC10 FATboy 06-23-2009 07:16 PM

Wow IC ALL, I didn't mean to get the guy fired. I just thought it was a good laugh. So perhaps he probably shouldn't have poste in uniform, but is this enough to try to get him fired?

Yes I think this guys a total tool for posting his pics on Craigslist but getting him fired is a bit much.

emj55 06-23-2009 07:24 PM

Come On, give the kid a break. He is in a brand new city all by himself. He's just trying to get laid. I have many friends who post on Craigslist. They get lucky all the time.

Definitely not Comair or Skywest. They wear gold epaulets.

He's not getting laid with those pics, although ugly fat women need lovin' too.

He's definitely Freedom. They're the only one with a CVG base that where old airways stripes, and just they opened CVG not too long ago which would explain the recent move.

What's the big deal? So he is a "dweeb" or whatever for posting a Craigslist ad with a photo of him in a uniform. Do you feel validated for sending him such a righteous  message?

What we don't need in "the biz" is people that are happy to make a life goal out of getting someone fired for something so insignificant. I'm more concerned with the effects on our profession's image from a guy like you in the industry than this Craigslist guy.

I would think that a responsible moderator would have removed such a post for not only being off topic, but also because it has a phone number. However, it's a bit late for that now.

KC10, shame on you for posting the link. This kid will get the 3rd degree of uber embarrassment for no good reason. If you really wanted to help, you could have sent him a message instead of airing his laundry. If you were going for the cheap laugh, your goal has been attained.

My 2 cents.....

Thanks Zapata, you just spoke my mind. Who cares of this guy is online trying to get laid, or whatever. This has nothing to do with being a professional pilot. Some of us find it it fairly easy to hook up with various women on whatever basis, and others don't. That is what the internet has made possible for a some people. No need to be judgmental about it. He's by no means making this profession any better or worse.

Just look at all these married politicians, or half the US population, cheating on their wives with ;....... cmon guys, stop throwing these cheap shots. How he gets laid, is his problem, not yours. Get a life.

Fly safe, be safe, and go have a drink afterward :)

Man, what a goof ball. Good thing nobody from the Air Force has ever made himself look like a tool on the internet in that way. You ever hear of a FedEx pilot that runs his own site? I won't bother posting the address, maybe you know it. Good thing he's cleaned it up compared to what he used to say about himself on there.

Here's my favorite quote he had about himself before he trimmed the site down;

"When I was in the military I received a lot (and I do mean a lot) of plaques, awards and certificates. I'm not bragging, but a person can't be in the Air Force for ten years and not be given a lot of the stuff"

Looking at his pictures it looks like he pulls a lot of tail. Of course, good thing he's a FedEx pilot, the pics make it look like it may cost him more than the standard dinner and a movie. However expensive that may be in Subic, or DXB, or Almaty, or Tel Aviv, or wherever that jet setting international playboy finds himself.

mmaviator 06-23-2009 10:54 PM

I'm not kidding, I know that guy and he works for Mesa. I would like to add that he is not that good of friend of mine but he is a funny dude.

I think a more important question in this is why is your step sister and/or mom searching Cincinnati men for women Craigslist postings?

You post stuff like this and yet you shut down the thread on "Mainline Pay for regional Aircraft" because of pointless bashing. Unreal.

If this makes you really mad enough to make it your life's goal to have him fired you have issues.

Well I certainly hope that mom wasn't, for Dad's sake. That would be one heck of a kick to the jimmy on Father's day.

My step sister is 20yo ... so this wouldn't surprise me.

Actually it is. Several Alaska employees have been fired for stuff they put on Facebook and Myspace. Some because they were wearing their unis, but some just because they identified themselves as employees.

Actually, it isn't......at least, not necessarily. Even if Mesa has such a policy (I don't know if they do) nothing in his ad positively identified any airline except the style of shoulder boards.......which is vague at best. I imagine those other cases involved positive identification of the airline in the social networking sites. I think a court would rule in his favor should a firing come to a law suit.

Folks, I understand the sentiment for limited ridicule of this guy, but you're making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Why didn't you just call him, he posted his phone number. Nimrod. I'd guess he is Mesa, RAH doesn't have a Cincinnati base anymore.

Joachim 06-26-2009 06:42 AM

I called him; he hung up on me. I then left him a message and told him that i thought he should delete his ad.

LeftWing 06-26-2009 07:12 AM

Sending him messages, actually calling him....man, you guys have way too much time on your hands! (makes me think that your harder up than he is). I'm sure he has had plenty of people dipping into his business and it is obvious that he isn't following your advice because the ad is still up.

so jeez, just leave well enough alone, leave him alone and mind your own business. You guys remind me of a Jerry Springer audience.....making fun of him just to make yourselves feel better. I'm sure you have plenty of your own issues.

You are mistaken. When the man poses in uniform he represents US as a pilot group. I figured it would be best for everyone if this didn't go any further. The guy called me back and said he had taken the ad off. I was polite to him; he was polite and grateful to me; it was no big deal.
Now back to the original topic...

No, I still disagree. For all we know, he took the ad down only because of all the pressure to do so. So he wore a uniform? So what? There are plenty of profiles on social networking sites with folks wearing a uniform in a respectful manner. It's not like he was making pilots look bad by the photo with him in uniform drinking beer or partially clothed. If you think he was making us look bad, you're over thinking and you should relax.

I am glad that you were polite. However, his ad didn't make the profession look bad.
