Hmmm. Interesting. Now I wonder if it was a bluff. They briefed it in the pre-interview brief and after they hit me with all the questions in the interview about where I might go, I asked about it and they said I would have to pay the $17k back if I left before a year was up.

They tell you the day of interview if hired or not?

Bummer. Probably gave the job to the guy that lied and said he'd rather be at Frontier than Delta!

It really is just an embarrassment that even with the abysmal starting salary and benefits they leave the threat of a training contract out there.

Perhaps...but I don't think so as I got to know the guys there a little bit. I am super happy for the guys that got the nod. Seemed like a real good bunch of dudes that needed out of where they were and I'm happy for them.

Macdac - you seem to be ok with the results - impressive attitude. Can I ask if that was a conscious decision to go into it totally ok with whatever happens?

How do you think you got called for the interview? Did you have an internal connection, or just luck of the draw?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

It's a good time to be looking for a better job. The truth is Frontier has the lowest Airbus pay rates in the country right now. There are very few pilots who would pick Frontier over Delta, United, Southwest, etc. i'm not sure why they are even asking these questions. Frontier has pilots with over 8 years seniority leaving for these companies. Why would they think a new hire wouldn't? If they want more loyalty, pay more. The object of working is to maximize income and time off. Frontier pilots are no different.

KS, think about it-->Im sure Hockey doesnt care if Frontier didn't hire him. Your question is synonymous to asking a non-college educated Billionaire if any colleges accepted him?

Hockey, we had a jumpseater on-board a month ago, he told us that Frontier has a few captains that continually make well north of 240K. Apparently, the pilots can make a butt load more money than what their hourly pay states.
