Is it really that bad?
Why does it even matter?
Every regional is hiring and every regional has quick upgrades.
Gojet has 54 planes with a good chance they will lose the United contract and/or the Delta contract. If those are moved to American is everyone ready to be based in Dallas or New York?
Skywest is constantly moving planes from United to American, or Delta to American, etc, Expressjet just moved a bunch from Delta to United. When you are with a tiny airline, if the contract gets moved that means you get moved. Size matters.
Skywest has something like 15 bases and 460 airplanes. They are adding more and expanding on the East Coast. Lots of west coast bases. If you don't make the majors, Skywest is a good career.
Endeavor has bases in LGA, ATL, JFK, MSP and DTW and pays 13 per hour more plus a 10k bonus. They have 155 planes.
Envoy, about 185 planes.

Wondering if there is any specific reason for the statement that GoJet will likely lose its contracts with Delta and/or United?

When these 25 dual class airplanes are placed, 25 dual-class aircraft will have to come off contract to keep within scope. UAL has made it clear it wants to get rid of the -700's, except for those flown by SkyWest (needed to fly into some high altitude airports). Guess who operates exactly 25 CRJ-700's for UAL?
But we shall see.

The UAL one is math. UAL purchased 25 -175's that will be placed with a regional. Probably not GoJet.

Gojet go bye bye.
I've been told that United did not want to kill Gojet, but it does not want the 700s except for the Aspen flying. It gave them the chance to do the flying but Gojet could not get a training program put together and approved by the FAA.
Is this information correct?
One piece of information that is 100% correct is that a VP has been meeting with an employment attorney, back in August anyway. I guess it could be for lots of things, negotiating a severance package, negotiating a retainer package not to leave before the end, or knowing these guys, maybe he was just coordinating how to fire another Air Force or Army reservist? Maybe a past termination, or a future business venture.
If GJ loses the 25 planes and Compass gets the deal to add 25 175s, of course they will just bring the Gojet guys over with full seniority, right, isn't that how it always works in the Trans States land of Brotherly Love?
10% facts, 90 percent trying to put the puzzle together.
