Should I know what YGBSM means, because I don't.

The pilots are really not to blame for the companies business decisions. I'll never deny a Jump seat because that person hates my company....I'm going to do what i can to help them out.

Wait until it happens to you, and I bet you'll be singing a different tune.

Mods, instead of closing the thread for its inevitably creeping off topic into a juvenile flame fest, try something new. How about deleting all of the posts that have nothing to do with the original post? The guy asked about an interview, that's what the thread should be about.

If someone wants to have their own personal crusade against Go Jet, they can start their own thread.

Easy interview overall. I interviewed 2/10, and it was a joke. The CP, and a line pilot just went over my resume. Very few technical questions. I got the offer the next day, so I guess they were short. The place has a fast upgrade if you have the time, but there CBA sucks! Also last year they made you pay for housing during training. Might want to try Eagle or SkyWest instead.

That thread gets locked.

However, you're right. Instead of trying to offer career advice on why GoJet is a terrible place, we'll just let all these new guys go there. THEN we'll bash them for choosing to go there when people deny them the jumpseat and their resumes get turned down at the majors.

I'm fully aware that these guys are getting hired on at majors right now, but so are TransStates guys, and other regional people. And those pilots know exactly who GoJet is. What goes around, comes around....

There has been enough threads on GJ that people know what opinions are out there. And there are other "terrible places" to go too. Most folks know the history of GJ, yet not all agree that they are the single scourge of the regional industry that many here would have you believe.

As for getting turned down at majors or for a jumpseat, I don't see it happening. The same things were said about Comair and Continental Express pilots that paid for their training in the mid 90's and PFT was far more insidious to the profession than Go Jet.

I don't have the warm and fuzzies about Go Jet's beginnings either and I agree that the initial hires that knowingly circumvented the TSA seniority list had questionable ethics. However, today's GJ new-hires are not negatively affecting the industry any more than new-hires at other regionals.

Someone that has made their decision to shoot for Go Jet should be able to get the information they seek without harassment from people on a personal crusade to "inform" according to their opinions.

Even if it doesn't hurt your career to go work there, it might.
Even though its a quick upgrade now, it might not be in the future

Use the information you have and make your own decision about where YOU want to work. Just be willing to live with the consequences if things don't work out for you. A career at GoJet is probably not why you will start working there, but it is always a possibility in this industry
