How many times have you been furloughed?

Once from PSA for 2.5 years. Once from state university flight school for 6 months. Why?

When you were furloughed did you apply to other airlines?

I've alway enjoyed your rants but didn't you jump ship to work at silver as DEC? I make more money than you as an FO and have much better contract and QOL. But hey go get them turbine times. You'll probably get to the majors before me honestly but think twice before you try to lecture somebody.

There's a big difference between going to work for a crappy company as an FO and a crappy company as a Captain.

That's not the point he was trying to make. Let me do it for him.

"People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".

PSA's contract is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the worst contract in the regionals and is certainly far superior to Gulfs.....o wait....Silver's.

My QoL at PSA is very very high right now, and I'm making a lot more money than I was a year ago under our old contract which actually was pretty bad.

Nope. I was trading stocks and flight instructing and made much more money doing that while staying home.

Don't get me wrong, I was sincere when I said I believe you took the faster route to majors. But where do you draw the line? I could've went to Great Lakes 7 years ago or GIA or CommutAir or gojets and probably be in the majors right now. I went to with PSA because they had a good balance of decent contract and upgrade times back in 2007-2008. Of course it all went to crap but who could've guessed?

I don't like the fact that we sold out anymore than you do. But our pilots (due to an awesome portion of our new contract) can make crap load more than any other regional airlines hands down. Last time PSA pilots said no to 900s to fly it for the same rate, republic got bunch of e jets. Tell me how that turned out for their $37 club.

Why? Because he gets to sign the release? It takes 4-6 years at captain pay to make more than an FO at PSA, in which time that FO will have upgraded and make significantly more than said Gulfst.....Silver captain.

Let me ask you all this:

Silver Airways used to be a "pay to play" operation. Now, those days are decidedly behind them by what? 4 years? 5 years?

Why is Silver ok to work at and GoJet not when the whole GoJet fiasco happened 10 years ago? GoJet is just another regional now, the same way Silver is just another regional.

The original cadre at GoJet are scumbags for sure don't get me wrong. It is not the same place anymore though.

You people are taking away from my Titanfall time.

It's awesome that you have personally come out on top with the new contract! Seriously!

What do you know about Silver's contract?

I didn't come to Silver as a "shortcut" to the majors. I came here because I was tired of being laid off...being a DEC was just a little bonus. I applied and interviewed here while I was furloughed from Hulas Academy and got my class date after finishing my second recall at TSA. I came here because TSA looked like a sinking ship and being 5 from the bottom was a terrible place to be after 5 years.

Pagey stop it!! You're preventing this thread from being locked by having a logical debate!

Back to name calling and mud slinging guys. We all have to let out our stress one way or another!

The comparison wasn't Silver vs. PSA vs. GoJet. If you wanted to throw Silver in there you can...and I would advise a young 23 year old 1500TT guy against coming here if he has other options.

I highly doubt your 5 year FOs make more than I do.

We all have our reasons. Nothing wrong with what you did now that you've explained why. Just as 61% of PSA pilots has their reasons to vote yes. I respected their decisions even though I disagreed with it. I honestly believed PSA will shutdown in 5-6 years had we voted it down and still voted no. Just as my buddies in eagle know they're signing their death sentence if they vote no but they still did! We'll see how that'll play out. One thing I can promise is that I won't be calling them names or threaten denying jumpseats like some of us on apc if the TA passes.
