TSA is all -145s. Yeah, they're growing, but how long are those 145s going to be around? They're falling apart already (ENYs anyway) and oil isn't going to be this low forever. Contract aside, Go jet and the 70+ seat flying seems like a safer bet.

That's a joke right? My second paycheck had more hours than guarantee. Included 15 hours of cancelation pay.

Too bad TSA doesn't have an order for 100 70 seaters. Oh wait

Not my top choice, but I can train & base out of STL which is where I live. I'm a little nervous coming from single engine piston into the big CRJ 700. Getting the limitations down, reviewing 700 systems on avsoft which has really good slide shows on the system basics. How's the training department? I know a lot of people hate on the company, but I want to get my foot in the door, and settle down in one place for a few years.

I would WAY WAY WAY rather own my own planes than have them "borrowed" from a major.
You talk as if you really have no idea how this industry works. That or you are just super bitter and jelly there is a decent regional out there where people are happy to work.

They don't either... the MRJ90 is slated to hold 92 in single class configuration... if you only but 76 seats on it, then the economics of the airplane no longer are advantageous as CASM goes up. So its great they have the planes on order, but who has the scope to allow TSA to fly these? Nobody... I also believe the MRJ90 is too heavy, even if they decide to just throw 76 seats in there.
Are you really naive enough to believe they won't find flying for them or just blinded by that much hate?

Pick up a newspaper some time. They are getting the 76 seat version and they are getting it under the weight scope. Its engines still burn 15% less gas than a 900.

And yes, the majority of airlines are scoped out. AA doesn't have much left to give after the the ENY -175s, options, and PSA -900 options. UAL is about maxed out on 70+ seaters and so is delta. Unless that changes soon, everyone is scoped out and won't be fighting over the MRJ that has been "coming out any day now" for the past 4 yrs.
