iPad Size for C172 Cockpit?
For a C172 cockpit what do you find is a good sized iPad, the mini or the 9.7" (aka Pro and until recently the Air)?
What's your favorite placement, kneeboard, yoke or side windshield?

A kneeboard mount is the easiest but I would suggest the most simple one possible with a pivot (portrait to landscape) and without folds or pockets of other garbage. They tent to get bulky fast.
A 10" (yeah yeah, 9.7") ipad is nice but might hit the yoke. More likely if you are shorter. a 7" iPad would help the fit.
If you are using a yoke mount I'd suggest a 7" iPad. a 10" is a bit cumbersome and might block instruments.
Using a RAM mount is also a possibility and almost a necessity with a 10" iPad. Not sure if a suction cup would work with a 172. Also, make sure the mount will work with whatever protective case you are using (if any)
