Default Discovery TV's "9/11" movie

I thought it was an unwritten rule in the movie/tv business not to ever make a movie about 9/11. Why make a buck off 3000 lives?

Even if it was non-profit and the money went to the victim's families, I just don't think it's right.

I'm with you, I knew Leroy and I wish they'd just let all of the victims of 9/11 RIP. No matter how well intentioned, the TV version never honors the memory.

Ok Ok I caved. My curiosity overcame me and I watched it. And surprisingly was better than I thought.

It is based on testimony from the vicitim's family and friends. And there was alot of (emotional) interviews between the movie scenes. Kiefer Sutherland did a great job narrating it. So it was like a "docu-movie" and less hollywood like. The movie really brought you back to how you felt that day. Not sure if I wanted that though but it was effective.

It may be uncomfortable for the victims families, but I am a big believer in your quote. We live within a country of incredible comlacency and short memories. There are still evil men out there that want us all dead or converted. They will not stop until they achieve their goal or we get serious and exterminate them. I don't believe that the people of this country can be reminded enough about the events of 9-11-01

I saw the preview and I think it sucks. They don't know what all went on up there. Anything outside of the cell phone call and the black box recording is just bull sheist and disrespectful to those that died.
