Do you by chance fly Air Force One?

Most people don't know that a major reason why pilot training takes so long is because inflight calculations are done based on latitude and longitude, but it all has to be converted into a regular grid otherwise we'd get lost EVERY FLIGHT. It takes years to be able to do that correctly and safely, and its a wonder we ever get where we're going. So thank your pilots and be thankful they've undergone years and years of training to be able to navigate using both curved and flat earth mathematics.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This is why we should have two term limits on EVERY public office from dog catcher to president. Largely takes the money and empire building out of the political equation when no one can remain after two terms anyway.

I'm a huge fan of term limits but I think house of reps need more than two for committee continuity. Issues are just too complicated to have to press reset every 4 years. I'd accept 2 terms for senators and 5 for reps.

What he is saying is that the calculations of latitude and longitude are plotted on a curved surface. The formulas needed to convert it to a flat grid, because the world is flat, are immense. It of course takes many years of schooling to learn all these calculations properly. Otherwise you would get lost. That is what he is saying
