I 've been following it closly. my family owns a flight school. They said it would be the death of GA. Airlines think they have problems getting people now, just wait.

Thanks for posting this video! VERY informative. I also really like the safety argument.

I am an AOPA member, and all of you should be too. For $39 a year, you get a great magazine (12 times a year), occassional AOPA merchandise, and a great team of people fighting for your right to fly.
Fighting user fees.
Fighting increases in fuel taxes.
Fighting airport closures.
Fighting developement around local airports.
Fighting for anything and everything aviation.

I am considering sending AOPA a donation. They are the best non-profit organization I know!!!

AOPA's great. As a commercial pilot, this will still impact my flying because under the charter flying I do, it's a lot of on-demand "We need "it" yesterday" type of flying. Get your weather and file, and be gone within 30 minutes of the word GO. Of course we'd pass the fee's onto the customer, but it'd be a huge disadvantage in pricing.

Also, is it not enough to see why the US is leading the flight-training world. Its' because we actually can train at a variety of airports for nil, and our costs are lower from the start. Flight schools around the nation would go under, I'll guarantee that!!!!
