Likewise, there are ~20x the number of deaths due to cold than heat. Yet how often have you read 'x more heat related deaths due to global warming.' It's a made up number, but just multiply it by 20 and respond that the warmer earth will save 20x lives from dying from cold. When one bores down on all of this, (C)AGW (catastrophic anthropogenic global warming) is really just a grifter con game. Blame this on human activity, juice the data to make it look like the earth's warming (who can really tell the difference between 80 and 82 degrees?) and tell everyone that we'll all die if we don't keep the earth's temperature from rising 2 degrees C (another made up number by Yale economist William Nordhaus). Then set up ways to profit off of the sheeple. Like Al Gore, who invested heavily in the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) through GIM (Generation Investment Management). Fortunately, CCX collapsed.

There are still plenty of believers, but solar cycle 24's taken the wind out of the sails of the warmists. Now, they're juicing the data so hard that they barely try to hide the fact that they're just flat out cooling the past and warming the present. The Australia Bureau of Meteorology is the latest example, increasing the amount of warming from 1.00C/decade in their Acorn1 dataset to +1.23C/decade in Acorn2. And that 1.00C/decade number was already heavily juiced; there's a report out there done by one meteorology hobbyist that looked up raw data temps for decades (in newspapers) and found no measurable warming trend for Australia.

But if someone tells you it's hot outside due to global warming, you're predisposed to think it's hot outside. Even if it's colder than what's historically normal.

I'm not commenting on either opinion. Just the narrow-minded attitude that is either, you didn't serve therefore your opinion is invalid or I don't like your opinion about military matters therefore you must have never served and subsequently lived in your mother's basement. Both are ludicrous arguments that are irrelevant to the opinion presented. The only time attacking someone for their lack or perceived lack of service is appropriate is if they are trying to tell you what's it's like to serve.

Nope. I smacked down Contrails because he wanted to quip about DoD priorities in the face of changing administrations. I stated, correctly, that priorities, and CJCS staffing change based on Presidential perspective. His latest bone spur stupidity merely validates my position that he/she is a troll.

The current president doesn't believe in global warming. Would his CJCS not support that? Would they then recant their statement? And how does bringing that up make him clearly not a veteran or how does being a veteran have anything to do with his comment?
