I suppose you are correct. I've actually seen the same myself, now that I think about it.

It was at JFK, we'd been waiting for awhile already.... I'll spare you the rest! But it was a similar "tool of the year" story.

A lot of these "pilots (or FA's) left the rest of the crew," stories are misunderstandings, in my experience. If you're staying at a short layover/airport hotel the hotel van is on a schedule, leaves every 15 or 30 minutes. If you make it, great. If not, you're SOL.

Transport downtown is another story.

You can't hold the scheduled hotel vans, it's the dedicated vans that we're talking about.

Yes, I know. But sometimes when you hear these stories -- and I'm not calling out anyone on this thread -- that's the misunderstanding.

But in his story he was talking about a van 30 min later. That is usually the scheduled vans. Our fa are hardly with us on overnights. I’d leave as well.

I agree it totally depends on the context. It would be toolish if it was a dedicated van for the inbound flight.

Exactly this. Some people are just oblivious though.

It was a dedicated van. Although the hotel did have hourly and half hourly service. Besides, those cats knew they had our crew AND their crew going to the same hotel. They still decided to "evacuate."
