Default This Plane Accidentally Flew Around the World

Great read about a Pan Am Flying Boat that got caught in New Zealand after Pearl Harbor. They had to fly west from there all the way back to New York. Longest leg was over 23 hours, they came close to getting shot down by Dutch fighters, and while ducking under clouds at 300AGL over the ocean they flew right over a Japanese Submarine which opened fire on them.
