I do pay 32% of each additional dollar I make to the federal government. That’s a nice little treat from the recent GOP tax reform . I would have just paid 28% of each additional dollar during the Bush/Obama years.

Why do so many threads turn into a California taxes circlejerk? Somehow, a possible bailout of airlines that post billions of dollars in profits, all on their employees backs, turns into political drivel.
Welfare and entitlements are bad. Corporate welfare and corporate tax cuts are good. I guess listening to AM radio on the ADF is still alive and well...

Calling out Someone's bias isn't whataboutism.

Bias? I made a factual statement about the tea party’s recent absence in the face of record deficits and spending. Do you agree with me? How do you know I don’t agree with you about the fact it’s strange war protests have diminished after 19 years?

No you made your bias clear when you insinuated that it was and astro-turfed movement.

Capitalism is about survival of the fittest, not government bailouts. Someone will always come along to do what your business does, but cheaper, faster, more efficiently, etc. That's why business must continually evolve and from time to time, die, so it can be renewed stronger and better able to survive. Once we start giving handouts and bailouts, we weaken our ability to compete in the world, because we stifle competition and innovation.
