I stayed up there for about a week and a half for a job a year ago. We stayed at the Hotel QT. Cool place, a couple blocks from Times Square. I was working overnight for the most part and walked around a bit during the day. Went to a lot of the neat sites with a short walk so I guess it was pretty central.

Wow - fighting words....

Definitely check out McSorleys. We used to have a saying - "Get McSickley at McSorleys"... You buy the beer by the handful. The barmaids pour it into one size mug four or five at a time. Don't worry about the dirt; it's the only thing holding the building together.

As far as the statement about pizza....I have been all over the country and NY is still the best. Chicago is too doughy. It is different everywhere. I guess it all depends on where you grew up. Go have a blast in NYC!
