longest cross country EVER

so yesterday for my first "real cross country" we took off in our bonanza c33 from kansas city and flew to orangeberg, south carolina (kinda by columbus).. we than stopped for about an hour to eat lunch and then turned around. the turning around part was the bad idea. we had to divert around some storms, stop for fuel and deal with a 30kt headwind in a 150kt plane. needless to say it was my first time ever flying high performance and i was at the helm for almost 15 HOURS.

AHHH, thats sounds painful. I did something similar once. It was an Angel Flight from BVY just north of BOS to Pontiac MI. 10hrs on the hobbs. A cherokee six too. No storms to deal with but that could easily been a 15hr day too.

Some instructors at my old job took a warrior from philly to cali one way. I don't know how long it took but i'm sure it was painfull

my previous instructor flew a diamond katana from SoCal to Maine where the customer who bought it lived. I could not even imagine the excitement of those 1" foam seats and the sun canopy of death for 30 hours
