Default Seattle Hotel suggestions?

Booked a family cruise from Seattle this summer and thought we would take an extra few days to do touristy stuff beforehand. You know, Pikes market, Space Needle, Boeing museum etc. Anyhow booked a Grand Hyatt downtown but I’m hearing anecdotally that downtown Seattle has become less safe for walking around with the family. Thinking about changing hotels to a safer location. Could always Uber to the Space Needle.

Any suggestions on places to stay? Cruise leaves from Pier 91, north of downtown. Thanks in advance.

It's not that bad. Just pay attention to your surroundings.

That said, The Edgewater would be nice.

Hyatt Regency by Renton is nice. Lots of Flight crews, but very new. Not far from downtown, you’ll need a rental car though.

Save some $$ and book a decent room near KSEA. The sounder light rail train will take you anywhere you need to go for a few bucks (downtown, Pikes, etc.). Traffic sux there.

Edgewater? is that where the beetles were photographed fishing from their room?

Coast Gateway - a favorite of regional airlines from years past. The Roasthouse in the parking lot does have pretty good food tho. Not a far walk from the rail line

You do NOT want to drive downtown. Do not do it.

There’s also a LOT of cool stuff around the Sound, do some research on stuff to do.
