This guy deserves to be locked up for a very long time:
After Matthew Jones, 35, was indicted in Oct. 2021 for violating FAR's and wire fraud he continued to violate the court ordered conditions of his release by operating an airplane without an appropriate pilot certificate. He only has rotary wing Commercial/Instrument. Now he's been indicted again on the same charges. He claimed to be a CFI, entered into an LLC and advertised online that he was opening a flight school and charter provider.
On Dec. 29th 2021 he crashed a Robinson R44 helicopter seriously injuring himself and killing his girlfriend after he picked up the R44 in Sevierville, TN and was taking it back to Utah. He was cautioned by several pilots about the dangers of Smokey Mountain flying in marginal weather which was deteriorating from marginal VMC to IMC. They departed at 2:15pm and flew thru valleys between 1,200 and 1,750 feet AGL before the R44 hit trees and was destroyed 10 minutes after taking off.

John D. Walker: Guilty on all 110 counts: Conspiracy, defrauding the FAA and the NTSB, bribery, aircraft parts fraud, causing serious bodily injury and death, falsification of aircraft registration, employing unlicensed mechanics and pilots, wire fraud, and finally money laundering.
Looking at life in prison. And Monday he has a hearing whether to revoke bail and remand him into custody????? I'll be shocked if he's not long gone by Monday.
At his peak he had a 5,000 acre farm in Missouri and a fleet of aircraft and off road racing cars.
I'd be surprised if the story I linked isn't turned into a book or movie. There's more there about bribing a FAA Inspector with cash and hookers.

Oops, my bad got the threads mixed up. That's what I get for posting at 0200. To late to delete this one. This is the criminal in Guam, not the Utah idiot.
