Default AI will destroy "laptop" class of workers

This isn't directed at aviation but does show how many other jobs outside of aviation are at risk from AI. The writer thinks the AI revolution will be bigger than the industrial revolution and the Internet combined.

It will only impact a small segment of workers who are focused on very narrow rote or creative work. Some coders, some para-legals, etc.

It cannot replace workers who have to interact with other humans outside of a very narrow context. You'd need AGI to do that, and that's a whole 'nother discussion...

As far as the arts is concerned, I tend to suspect that art created by certified humans will carry a vast premium. Look at how the value of a lot of art is heavily driven by the name of the artist.

AI generated art will be relegated to elevator music, paintings in hotel hallways, etc.

Also... if you automate away all the workers, you won't have an economy to market the fruits of your AI labor. Something will have to give there. I could see legal/economic restrictions on AI use as long as there are unemployed humans looking for work.
