Could we get back on thread topic - or just start a new thread?

It REALLY helps improve the search feature.

Thanks

Sure, sorry. But are you going to do this EVERY time a thread gets off track? If so, you are going to be very very busy.

Go into the cargo section and take a look at all the FX LOA threads. See how many of them have stayed on track.

Did anybody hear of the Mesa guy that stole an ipod? :D

Just a request, I'm not closing the thread - only suggesting that the forum is a better resource when users follow the thread topic. Starting a new thread is free.

Are you flaming both users because the dad is posting under an available profile (and offered the courtesy of disclosing that), or do you take issue with the content of the post?

Both. (although my biggest beef is with the content) So if my brother wants to post i should just let him use my account? I think he should get his own. (it's free) I thought you of all people would agree. guess not.

I just found the whole "if you disagree with my ridiculous analogy I'll go get my Dad. And he knows more than anyone on this forum" routine incredibly juvenile. oh well, moving on.

HSLD, I will get back on topic as soon as I address Mr. Deez here. My apologies up front.

Deez, you need to go back and read the posts because I never said I was going to go get my dad if you disagreed with me. I could care less if you disagree with me or not. You're entitled to your opinion. That was all his doing on his own time and I had nothing to do with it. My dad using my account is not your problem. If HSLD or any of the other moderators don't like it, I will gladly sign dad up on his own account. If it makes you sleep any better, he probably wont come back on here again unless there's a topic on Seabees. :D You need to relax and think before you submit a reply with intent to flame. We don't need to be hatin' here, yo! :D Moving on.

That is our strong preference, we do appreciate him disclosing that he was posting on your account however.

Gee, i don't know where i could have gotten that impression from?

"Uhhhhhh....Yes. I would say so and I think the analogy is perfect. Next time dad (captain) comes home happy with his job at UAL will be when he quits. By the way, it wasn't my analogy, it was the captains'. I think I'll take his word over someone on the forum." .[/quote]

The very next post was from daddy so that's how it came off to me. Obviously my "Deez's Dad 787" was a joke my dad's a judge (retired) not a pilot and there aren't any 787 line check airmen yet. Anyway, as far as me being a real pilot, not only am i who i say i am but i have ATP Single/Multi Sea with time in two of the the 8 or so TWIN BEEs left flying in the world.:D no hatin'

You pretty much nailed me on self righteous! guilty! but i feel it's largely well earned. Just remember, people who think they know everything are particularly annoying to those of us that do.:D

My only point in all of this was to point out to potential UAL applicants that there is no stigma attached to united pilots. (that is usually attached to Gojet and to a lesser extent Mesa.) Applying to United is not tantamount to crossing a picket line. Gojet isn't either but it's in the same ballpark. (the original hires)

HSLD - Next time dad is to post, I'll be sure to get him an account. Thanks for the understanding and letting me know where ya'll stand on that. ;)

Deez - Sorry you took it that way but I didn't say I was going to get him on here b/c you disagreed. Again, I could care less and we are beating a dead horse on that topic.

My dad nor myself were refering to the UAL pilots in the gojet/mesa analogy, but the management. It's an opinion, not a fact. I know the UAL contract is different and the management is slightly different from Mesa. And dad doesn't know everything nor does he think that he does. He's the most modest guy I know but again, airline politics pinch a nerve with him. I wont beat that drum again. And I did detect your sarcasm on that one. :D So look, lets shake hands and bee more positive towards eachother. I like that idea.

Dad would be thrilled to hear about your time in the twinbee! Please visit his website to see all the bees www.replublicseabee.com there are also turbine bees on there too. Maybe you'll find the twin bee you flew on the website. Sure is a fun airplane to fly, eh!! I learn something new about the bee everytime I fly her. PM me if you ever want to shoot the schise about the bee. It's not everyday you meet someone who flies the twin bee.

A turbine BEE that's awesome! (my twin bee time was 10 years ago) although i think you could put an Atlas rocket on a bee and not go North of 130kts.:D shake:D
