lol, yeah...I mean its not like you need to be on your game to fly the space shuttle anyway.

NASA has a 12 hour 'bottle to throttle' rule for all flight operations. I hope this is the last blow to NASAs reputation.

Don't believe all you hear. It was a tip sent in. Drinking the night before is one thing. They could have easily had a few glasses of wine to celebrate the night before. Their vitals are measured non-stop so I'm sure they were still good to go. There's also a difference between the commander flying and the guy sitting in the back row just along for the ride. That would be like a pax having a few on the plane and someone bashing the pilots because it was too general of a statement.

I couldn't agree more. I'm almost certain that if the space industry was public that we'd be doing alot more human exploration. For one, the Space Shuttle is a piece and in my opinion, an enormous waste of money. I miss the good old days of going to the moon...
