Got a new/used car
I was looking for something along the SUV lines that gets good MPG and would be fun to drive. I found this guy and started reading user reviews. It's one off-road mutha and seems to be fun to drive. I don't really know if it will be able to pull the boat out of the water. Might have to use the farm truck for that. Looks snazzy

Well the reason I needed a vehicle is because I sold my diesel for $1500 more than what I purchased it for a year earlier. I guess I have an eye for bargins. Only paid 11k and Rovers are FAR from anything else. Their off road abilities surpass everything but the hummer. They were making SUVs before there was even a SUV market. Doesn't have the pulling ability of the jeep but will leave that thing buried. They really are quite amazing.

Land Rovers are pricey, aren't they? Not good gas mileage either.
I'm a bit reserved with spending money on a car but I would say go for a VW TDI as they get 50 - 60MPG. Easy cars to work on too and parts aren't too expensive. You wont have a problem pulling the boat out with a diesel.

Land Rover
Land Rover was founded in England by a gentleman who had a Jeep right after WWII.
He developed a new body for the Jeep, thus the Land Rover was born----ON A JEEP FRAME.

Rovers are very fine vehicles. They are very offroad capable.
But the Jeep was first.
I would also put a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon up against any Hummer on the trail.

I know the jeep was first. I was talking SUV. The term "SUV" wasn't coined till long after a land rover. Regardless that it was started after WWII on a jeep frame they are completely different animals now. The off-road abilities of a Rover is only second to the Hummer. They start with most power on the front two wheels then as they lose traction they shift it to the rear wheels for an even 50/50 split. The bigger versions actually sense you are about to get high centered and they pick themselves up another few inches. Jeeps and the like do not have the power displacement abilities of rovers. The rovers also limit the wheels for you. You can't just floor it in mud and throw a rooster tail. They since the slippage and limit the power you have so when you hit mud or snow you can just leave your foot floored and let the vehicle do the walking. This guy will get over 20mpg on the highway which is great for me. Not too high of mileage and in a couple years when I decide to get something else I can send it to the farm or deer camp and use her as a hunting vehicle.
As far as why I wouldn't get a bike? I need something to limit myself. I'd kill myself in no time lol.
