During Gulf War I the B2 guys were flying 24 hour sorties from the Continental USA to Iraq and back. Anyone here do that?

I didn't do the flying, but I rode from Houston to Seoul, South Korea non-stop in a 777. Took 20ish hours and had some nasty jet lag.

7.5hrs in a Blackhawk doing resupply and pax hauling in Afghanistan. My left butt cheek was numb for two days afterward.

That was my longest flight.

When I worked in Wichita I flew from BEC to AAO in a Beechjet... taking off and landing to the north, AAO to BEC is 2.5 miles from rotation to touchdown and a sidestep of less than half mile. From takeoff power at BEC to taxing off the runway at AAO was less than a minute!

I may win for the shortest flight between 2 airports!

Longest duty day was 17 hours flying part 91 with 10 hours of flying... Roanoke VA - Peoria, IL - Detroit - Pittsburgh - Detroit - Peoria - Washington DC - Roanoke.

Most flying in a day was back in college in a Piper Arrow doing a solo xc for my commercial rating. Indianapolis - Bloomington, IL - Davenport, IA - Minneapolis, MN - St. Cloud, MN - Grand Forks, ND. About 9 hrs of flying with all of the stops.

I've also done a few roundtrips from coast to coast in a day in the Slowtation. That makes for a long day if the weather doesn't allow for non-stop east bound.

How bout hand flying a Bandit, EMB-110 for 18 hours!

My longest leg time was about 6 hours in a C-310R, that's a long time sitting in that seat by yourself.lol However some of the longest legs aren't nessisarily that long on the clock, but when on the clock they occur.

11.5 in an F-16 from Spang to Shaw...140 kt headwind the whole way. It was just a two ship with a KC-135E from Pittsburgh. We couldn't go over 300 KIAS since the E model took juuuuuuust enough gas to get all three of us home. I know it's nothing compared to what some of these guys in B-2s and BUFFS have done, but that's a long time in an F-16 cockpit with a poopy suit and g-suit on. You also have piddle packs, pubs and charts for 2 continents, water and food piled up to your elbows. Not fun. I'll bet that 7.5 in the chopper was worse, though!

My longest was 9 point something in a Viper between Hickam and Anderson. That's pretty long when you can't stand up.

I knew guys who deployed from Shaw to Abu Dhabi (Al Dhafra) in August of 90 in F-16's. I don't know what their flight time was but it's the longest single seat flight that I've ever heard of. I know that one of the pilots had the ECS stick on full cold halfway there and completed the flight.
