Some serious hiking there! In an age of the advanced survival gear you can go anywhere these days. Hiking is a skill with transcendental benefits as well as the physical ability to go where few others can go. You get to see the natural wonders that make up most of our gorgeous planet. A part of us is nourished by walking through the natural world. My mother used to take me for short hikes when I was a kid to some of the easier geographical features. It made a lasting impression.
