Hey!

Have you been to "Kloster Andechs" in Bavaria? It's awesome there, right at the Ammersee and close to Munich. I can only recommend visiting that place. I have a few friends who live in that area and I have been there a few times...

Not yet but my brother in law and wife want to take me. They mention it every time we have Andechser at the house.

Ah, definatly do it one day! I was a sailing instructor over the summer on the other side of the Ammersee (west) for the past years and still go to the Ammersee a few times a year to visit friends, go sailing, earn a little extra money and have a few beers. It was always awesome to take a day off and go to Andechs. Although it doesn't beat Oktoberfest...:D

Hey Moose, you ever stopover in Shannon? Probably the best beer I ever had in my life was an 'Authentic' Guiness from the draft after a seven month (Dry!) deployment to the sandbox.

I'm not even too big on Guiness here in the states but man that was good beer!

Stay over and go to Limerick. Try Dolan's Pub. Live music and drink whatever you want. Guiness is everywhere in Ireland.

Zima

Kidding... never even had one.

I like most any beer cold. I do like Dos Equis XX Amber, but I'm not too picky.
I've been doing all Europe trips the last two years, so I get to try some good stuff. I've had bad too, but mostly good.

Try www.ratebeer.com

Guinness hands down. The best one I've had so far was served at 42.5 degrees while I was sitting in the "Eagle and Child" in Oxford (I haven't been to Ireland yet).

On a HOT summer day I'll drink Killians or Harp. And when beer just doesn't cut it, I go with Maker's Mark, Jameson, or a Macallan 12.

Duvel, no doubt.
