I was at that airshow!

The RNZAF are great with their 757s, it's amazing what's possible with only a couple of crew on board. Too bad it's the only remaining jet aircraft in the fleet after they axed the A4 Skyhawks in 2001

Our fuel farm is under the approach end of the runway and I got absolutely nailed by the wake vortex of a 757 tonight while filling a truck. I could hear it coming too, sounded like it was ripping the air apart.

Yeah - I stood directly under a KLM 747 landing at St. Maarten, and managed to avoid the vortices because they settled to the beach on either side. They sounded like crinkly paper being ripped.

HAHA!! somebody on youtube commented on this video saying that that 757 is the only one they got in the RNZAF, so they'd better not break it. I thought that was kinda funny.
