Just seeing if there are any other pilots who are artists. I do pencil work, but am doing my first watercolor work soon with a mountain lake with a cabin and a Goose on the lake, maybe with an HU-16 Albatross doing a flyby . Are you (if an artist) able to do artwork out on trips?

I used to carry my pencils and work while doing 'practice layovers' in the crew room or at some empty gate. I tried to carry some water colors but that was too much of a hassle.
One thing for sure (but maybe a distraction) it is a great way to meet people.

this is an interesting topic, my mother is an artist, she does mainly watercolor and has dabbled a bit in oils.....she did a great picture for meof a king air 350......ive been trying to encourage her to do more aviation themed art... she has been wanting to get into selling her art but doesnt know where to start....i think that aviation art has a big market and plenty of "rich old guys" that would pay top dollar for good aviation art
