Logbooks
Anybody here use Logbook Pro? I was thinking of starting an electronic logbook but didn't know how happy others are with it. Is it worth 60 bucks or should I just use the APC free version? Also, if anybody uses any other version thier opinion would be nice too.

I use it and it's not only worth the $60 for the program, but it's also worth buying a PDA and getting the Palm Companion from Logbook Pro also.
I think they let you download the program to see what it's like, limits you to a certain number of entries but you can play around with it.

I am very happy with it. My favorite is that it has an auto fill feature (saves a ton of time), can automatically fill out 8710 forms, and track your hours in each aircraft. Very helpful when filling out applications and doing resumes. They also have a cool add on (that you pay extra for) that will show all the places you fly to on a map.

many of the pilots I have met in my time working for Eagle use E-Books. As a matter of fact, I know a buch of the aspiring pilots that I work with use the same program. I must say I am impressed. By the way, where are you based? I work the Ramp at BNA. Best of luck at Eagle. I graduate in May and I plan on flying for the ANG, after a few hours, and some time on the job, I pan on moving to either Trans States or CHQ. Apparently I dont have permission to send pm's yet, feel free to drop me an email.

So I have decided to buy one, I just don't know which one. I have tried the sample version of safelog, and I like it. I just don't know how versitile it will be. Anybody use it? Anybody tried both safelog and logbook pro? is it worth the money for the airline pilot daily logbood instead of a 6 dollar redbook? I know it soulds like I am beating a dead horse, but they aren't cheap and I know somebody will have good advice.

I'll second www.logshare.com -- easy to use, customizable, and by default provides an offsite backup.
