I have recently taken a new website online:

It has draggable sectional and terminal area charts, live visible and infrared satellite images and radar returns. Also you'll find current METARs in a decoded, easy to read format, and an extensive aviation database, and much more (there is a blog and help page on the website for more info). thanks, I am glad you like it! It is not based on the google maps api (except for the photo view which is provided by google maps). It is a homegrown solution. I have plans to add more features in the future which are probably not possible with google maps. Of course the website was inspired by goole maps as you might have guessed (-:
