Default Noise abatement and reduced thrust takeoffs

I've been looking around for a while for some sort of report on the effects of reduced thrust takeoffs on noise abatement. I found some stuff on the FAA website but it's just not substantial enough to use for a procedures class at my company. I was hoping you guys could help.

Thanks in advance,

For true noise abatement airports we use max thrust up to 1500 ft then climb thrust.

Yeah, our profiles involve max thrust for good climb up to a certain altitude (while over the airport proper), and then reduced. Then at 5000', we can increase to normal climb thrust.

So it seems like altitude is just as important as power setting.

Most NA procedures seem to incorporate max climb angles/rates through a certain altitude within a certain distance.

I guess that the thought is loud is okay as long as it is over the airport. It's when you climb out at shallower angles that there seems to be issues.

Reduced thrust is used more often because it reduces wear and tear on the engines. Allows for fewer maintenance inspections and increases TBO. Noise abatement procedures seem to be more about altitude or flying a specific route.
