As a frequent airline customer, I would pay extra on my ticket if they would let me pick someone to put it on.

Seriously, it wont happen, but it is troubling to even know someone thought of it. I am not sure people in DC know anything (and this is NOT political, it applies across parties - basically covers anyone living in DC and surrounding areas). The other day, Diane Feinstein introduced a measure to have the Capital restaurant management turned over to a private company because congress couldn't run it profitably. A short time later, Maxine Waters called for the nationalization of the large oil companies - seriously.

So, you have people that cannot make a dollar running a one outlet, simple restaurant that pays no rent...but they feel like they can nationalize and run large, complex, vertically integrated oil companies and fare better.

I would seriously sleep better at night knowing that just one person that was elected could run a small restaurant - that would be a quantum leap in competence be they Democrat, Republican or Bull Moose.
