NICE!

I sorta agree with you on Raptor looks. Nose-on and Top views look sharp, but the side profile view is a little off for me. The nose kinda looks like it belongs on a boat (sorta has a keel) and the fuselage has sort of a flying-saucer curvature on the bottom. Yes, I know, all body-lift and stealth considerations. Would I still take a Raptor RTU slot to fly that bad boy? Hell yeah!!

Of course, that comes at a cost of supercruise and stealth.

He said the external tanks are virtually identical (externally) to F-15 tanks, but were configured slightly different internally.

I'll have to disagree with Photon and say that while the F-22 is an impressive airplane in capability, I think the Eagle, Viper, and even the Hornet are sleeker looking airplanes than either the F-22 or the F-35.

It's similar to comparing classic muscle-cars and new cars--the classics have a personna; the new cars are almost identical.

Anything called a Prowler or Growler is steaming as it comes off the cat
You know what though - although tanking is just a secondary mission for the Super Hornets - I'd rather do the EA mission than the tanking mission in any pointy nosed fighter.

Btw - when I got my first up close look at the F-22 - I'd have to agree with Nortonious about the funny looking nose. INflight it looks much better.

You saw rain in that video? Better get your eyes checked right away!

SeaFair is also when the Blue Angels come to town and this year is no different. If anybody is coming to Seattle that weekend, let me know and you are invited to the vagabond household BBQ. And contrary to popular belief, I will not be serving fried locusts and braised chicken beaks this year. Wheee!
