How Do You Recover From Hotel-itis?
 

Tonight is my 6th night at a major hotel in downtown Chicago. I am getting sick of it and can't wait to go home. I am tired of eating out 3x a day. I am tired of telling the housekeeping girl that I don't need service and don't need another towel. I don't watch porn on tv nor do I want to swim in the pool where hundreds of others have shed skin cells into the weakly chlorinated water. My only comfort is you guys on APC!

How do you guys handle such an abnormal existence?

PS: I rode the elevator down today with a Lufthansa captain. He was a cutie! :)

1) Get out of the hotel
2) Go exercise/shop/see the sites
3) Find a grocery store

Doing all of the above makes it better for me.

Drink and flirt with bar girls...:D Works for me...;)

I couldn't get a male dancer into my room even if I paid him!! :D So I doubt a bar girl would be interested in me.

I do go for long walks each evening. Tonight, walked all the way to Navy Pier, stopped at a deli for sushi, then walked back. I am also working a little, which is always a bad idea.

Maybe I'll finally get into porn? :o

Avenue Q, the musical that song is taken from, is the funniest thing you will ever see. Even if you're not into the Broadway thing, you'll laugh. There's just something about a dirty Seseme Street parody that is genious.

How are you getting bored in Chicago??? I love this city! Its one thing if you're staying out next to ORD or on the southside at MDW, but you're right downtown. I live ten minutes north of downtown, and there's a helluva lot of different bars resturants around here. I'd bargain to say that being in Chicago during the summer is the best place to be in the US! I've lived here for 7 years, and never once have i been bored!

p.s. I would love to be stuck at a hotel in downtown Chicago, it beats the heck out of one right by the airport at DTW or in a suburb of MSP.
