that is pretty sweet. we did some thing similar in one of my science classes, but we didnt get near as good of a result. Lightning is a rare combination of lethality and stark beauty...

When I rode fire trucks we had a call to house with a lightning strike. The lightning had hit a large old tree about 8-10 feet from the house. The thunder blew out the windows on that side of the house. What amazed me was every large root was "unearthed" as if carefully done with a hand shovel and the dirt evenly distributed on both sides of the "trench". Truly a sight to see. Unfortunately, I think it killed a pretty nice tree.

I know Rickair will contradict what I'm about to write but here goes......
I'm a mechanic who troubleshoots electric/electronic circuits. I've always believed that electrons flow from + to -. I realize it doesn't matter because it's esentially FM (Navy speak for Flippin' Magic) but I'm a detail oriented guy.....
