Truck problem...anybody have any ideas?

If you have a half-way decent set of tools you could probably fix it yourself if it's something as simple as a sensor. Buy a manual from Chiltons or Haynes (your local store should have one or the other in stock because that's a very common vehicle) and do it yourself.
My jeep hasn't been in a shop in 6 years. 240,000 miles and she's still going strong. Fixing it has given a bunch of headaches but in the long run I've learned a lot and actually enjoy working on it now.
