Default Dead stick takeoff and landing

YouTube - Highlander dead stick take off

Same kind of plane as mine but NOT me. Looks like a real thrill but I will save this for when I am terminally ill and in my latter years.

The gentleman rolls off the side of a mountain and then flies about a mile or so out and 1500 feet down and lands on a river bed with the engine off and prop not windmilling.

Dear Son,
Daddy died because he attempted a 35 degree decline take-off without power in his airplane. He hit a rock, groundlooped the airplane and tumbled down the side of the mountain. He got lucky once before and managed to do it without incident, but the second time he tried, it didn't work out so well....we could only identify the body from his teeth which were found 300 yards from the wreckage.

(p.s. good thing he had a nice life insurance policy)

PPS: oops, the insurance agent just read the clause about flying experimental airplanes

Seriously, that looks like a blast! If it just didn't sound like a jet ski...
