These TSA people are jerks. They take their position way to serious. All they need to do is use some common sense. This story upsets me.

 

TSA needs to implement profiling to a reasonable degree. I've witnessed the TSA monkeys pull old people in walkers and wheel chairs as well as service men and women in uniform aside to frisk them a little more, ridiculous.

 

Yes...it's sickening. I actually get an upset stomach thinking of the limp-wristed PC faction that refuses to allow profiling in this absolutely appropriate setting. What's a more compelling argument? "Not all Arabs are terrorists (but 100% of the 9/11 hijackers were)" or "NOT ONE SINGLE *** **** 80-YEAR OLD WOMAN is a terrorist"? Jesus Christ...now I'm upset.

 

For those that hate TSA workers should see the ones at Juneau One of them told passengers that TSA stood for 'Thousands Standing Around'. He even sang the theme song, which was a circus song .

 

I thought TSA stood for "Takes Scissors Away". I also heard a rumor that they were thinking of unionizing. So as not to have to change their acronym it was proposed that their union become the "Tray Stackers Association".
Just a rumor!

 

Oh boy, that's pretty fu*ked up. TSA has always been a pain... I guess the only thing they've done right over the years was collect millions of dollars in revenue from seized goods... lighters, Audi car keys (that's a little side story all together).

 

To ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport screeners will not be allowed to profile people. They will continue random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the president's security detail, 85-year-old congressmen with metal hips, and Medal Of Honor-winning former governors. Anyone for racial profiling?

 

The one person that all the misguided "we shouldn't profile" types bring up is Timothy McVeigh. It is so frustrating to me, as a captain charged with providing safe air transportation, that I am not allowed to think or treat any differently the four or five 20 something year old middle eastern guys travelling together on my airplane. I am told they pose no greater threat than the young married couple with their two kids going to see Grandma and Grandpa. Whatever! - I'm thinking that just because someone said it doesn't make it so! If young muslim men are offended because of increased security concerns they should send their complaint letters to Osama. It's him and his extremist followers they have to thank for their dilemma, not me!
